30 official graphic designers from all over Europe are invited - and already working - by the national banks of their countries to design the bills. If everything goes according plans the first Euro bills will be issued in 2002. On March 2nd `Live Magazine' organized discussions on the topic of money in the cultural centre `De Balie' in Amsterdam. One of the discussions was about `how to sell the money' to the public.

For the discussion `de Balie' requested five local graphic designers (Marten Jongema, Lies Ros and Rob Schöder, Melle Hammer, Niels Meulman, Max Kisman) to design a Euro bill. Although for designing the official bills a huge manual of demands and security precautions is included, these designs give more individual ideas of the designers.
